Hal Reed has been working in public university planned giving for more than ten years. He joined the University of Connecticut Foundation in early 2006 after tenures as the Director of Planned Giving at Auburn University and the University of Central Florida. Prior to entering public university philanthropy, Hal was a personal trust officer for 18 years and began his career with five years of private law practice. He has earned the designation of CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive). He is a member of the Planned Giving Group of Connecticut, the National Committee on Planned Giving, the Connecticut Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford, and the American Bar Association (Section on Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law).
